Meta launches free AI training program for Pakistani small businesses

Meta AI Training Pakistan is set to receive a major boost as Meta launches a free artificial intelligence training initiative for 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The program aims to strengthen digital skills, accelerate business growth, and support Pakistan’s ongoing digital transformation by equipping entrepreneurs with practical AI knowledge.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and a delegation from Meta Asia Pacific. As part of the Small Business Growth Academy, the initiative will be delivered in partnership with AtomCamp from August to November 2026 through a combination of online and in-person training sessions.

The Meta AI Training Pakistan program will help participating businesses learn how to use AI-powered business tools, Meta’s digital platforms, digital marketing strategies, and automation techniques to improve productivity and expand their online presence. The training is designed to help SMEs adopt artificial intelligence for customer engagement, marketing, business operations, and sustainable digital growth.

A key objective of the initiative is to make AI education more accessible across the country. The program will prioritize women-led businesses and entrepreneurs from smaller cities, helping reduce Pakistan’s digital skills gap while creating new opportunities for innovation, financial inclusion, and economic development.

Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that digital transformation and artificial intelligence are essential for Pakistan’s future economy. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to finalize the National Artificial Intelligence Policy and the National E-Commerce Policy, both aimed at promoting innovation, technology adoption, entrepreneurship, and digital trade.

The minister further invited Meta to collaborate with the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), chambers of commerce, and trade associations to expand the reach of the AI training program. Strengthening partnerships with public and private sector institutions will help improve digital literacy, increase AI adoption among SMEs, and support Pakistan’s growing startup ecosystem.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries worldwide, the Meta AI Training Pakistan initiative is expected to equip local businesses with future-ready skills, improve competitiveness, boost digital innovation, and enable entrepreneurs to compete more effectively in the global digital economy. This initiative also reflects Meta’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s evolving technology ecosystem and empowering businesses through AI-driven solutions.
