Dewan Motors Launches MINI Electric Cars in Pakistan

Dewan Motors is positioning the iconic MINI brand as a premium electric mobility experience in Pakistan by focusing exclusively on electric variants during its latest launch event in Karachi. Held at the historic Mohatta Palace, the event showcased the all-electric MINI Cooper SE, MINI Aceman SE, and MINI Countryman SE, signaling the company’s long-term commitment to electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan’s luxury automotive segment.
While petrol-powered MINI models are available internationally, Dewan Motors deliberately highlighted only the SE electric lineup during the launch. According to industry observers, this “electric-first” strategy is aimed at positioning MINI as a futuristic lifestyle and technology-driven brand rather than a conventional automobile competitor.
The move also aligns with Pakistan’s evolving EV landscape, where favorable import duties and tax structures for electric vehicles are encouraging premium brands to explore electrification. Analysts believe EV-only launches could help luxury automakers offer high-end technology and performance at relatively competitive pricing within the premium category. The lineup includes the MINI Cooper SE, designed for urban driving with its compact size and electric performance; the MINI Aceman SE, a newly introduced crossover aimed at modern city lifestyles; and the larger MINI Countryman SE ALL4, built for families and long-distance usability.
Dewan Motors has also emphasized ownership convenience by offering manufacturer-backed warranties, battery coverage, and complimentary home charging solutions for buyers. The company announced a standard 24-month vehicle warranty, an 8-year battery warranty, and free installation of an 11kW home wall charger with every MINI SE purchase.
Bookings for the electric MINI range are currently open in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with deliveries expected within approximately six months. Pricing starts from around PKR 19.2 million for the MINI Cooper SE and goes up to PKR 26.9 million for the MINI Countryman SE. The launch reflects a broader shift in Pakistan’s automotive industry as global brands increasingly explore sustainable mobility solutions amid rising interest in EV technology and premium electric vehicles.
