Pakistan Announces Indus AI Week 2026

Pakistan has announced Indus AI Week 2026, a week-long national initiative designed to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across government, industry, academia, and startups.
Unveiled by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the initiative will be organized by the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication from February 9 to 15, 2026, as a nationwide public-private effort.
The program will focus on AI awareness, skills development, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and hands-on engagement. It will bring together policymakers, technology leaders, universities, startups, students, and the general public in Islamabad and across Pakistan.
Key activities include a national technology showcase, startup and innovation spotlights connecting founders with investors, AI training and certification opportunities, a gaming and experiential AI arena, and interactive public learning sessions. The initiative builds on Pakistan’s National AI Policy and aims to move beyond discussion toward real-world AI adoption, while welcoming international partners to collaborate with Pakistan’s growing AI ecosystem.
