In a notable display of innovation and scientific curiosity, a team of high school students from Hyderabad has developed a device that captures energy from fog and converts it into electricity. The invention, named Nebulavolt, was showcased at the national finals of Enterprise Challenge Pakistan and emerged as a winner in the event’s ninth cycle, drawing attention for its potential real‑world impact in fog‑prone regions. The project was designed and built by students of the Girls Section at TABS College of Science, Hyderabad, who identified a pressing problem faced by many parts of the country: frequent fog. Dense fog not only disrupts transportation but also increases the risk of road accidents and contributes to economic losses during winter months. Recognizing this challenge, the students set out to develop a low‑cost, environmentally‑friendly solution that could harness the energy present in the fog itself.
