5G network rollout expanding across major cities in Pakistan with telecom towers and urban connectivity

Pakistan’s transition to next-generation connectivity is accelerating as telecom operators expand 5G services across multiple cities, marking a significant step in the country’s digital evolution.

Following the successful 5G spectrum auction held earlier this year, telecom companies have begun deploying infrastructure and activating 5G sites in key urban centers. Major operators, including Jazz and Zong, have already launched services in cities such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, with further expansion planned in the coming months.

While the rollout is still in its early stages, experts suggest that network stabilization and full-scale deployment may take time, with gradual expansion planned across more cities and regions. The government has also indicated that 5G services will soon be available in provincial capitals and major urban areas as part of a phased implementation strategy
